All personal data obtained and held by the Company will:

How do we obtain your personal data? 

  • when you register on our website, providing your personal data and online identifiers such as your IP address; 
  • when you provide our representatives with your business card; 
  • when you contact us and provide your information via telephone; 
  • when you send us your details as part of a job application; 
  • when we obtain your data from representatives of your company; 
  • when a third party provides us with your personal data and you have given them consent to share your personal data with third parties; 
  • when you enter any of our premises where CCTV may be used (where this is the case, clear signage will be displayed to inform you that you are being recorded on CCTV).

  • Your career history if you have sent us a job application

Purposes for processing your personal data

The privacy impact of the processing of your personal data is low, as we only process your data in a professional capacity to provide you with our goods and/or services, or to respond to your queries. 

If you are a job seeker who has applied for employment with us, we process the data you have supplied us with to ensure a fair recruitment process. 

LK Metrology will not use your personal data for any purpose other than the purpose(s) in which we have outlined above. 

Where we store your information 

We store your data in a number of different locations, depending on what the data is and what we need to do with it. We may hold your data in one or a combination of the following locations: 

  • Electronic filing systems secured on our server 
  • Our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system 
  • Our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system 
  • Our Marketing system 
  • Email system 
  • Telephones – by storing your contact information in mobile telephone address books 
  • In manual paper files 

Who do we share your personal data with? 

We will share your data internally within LK Metrology Ltd, in line with the reasons outlined above for processing your personal data.  

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties, unless we are required to do so in order to fulfil your requests for products or services, or to perform a contract that we have with you. This may include our parent company and/or unaffiliated third parties working on our behalf such as agents, dealers, vendors and suppliers. 

The Data Protection policies of the third parties mentioned above will be reviewed to ensure that they are compliant with Data Protection legislation, to further safeguard your/our interests. 

Transfer of data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) 

As we are a company with global operations and partners outside of the EEA, your data may be shared outside of the EEA.  

Wherever transfers of data outside of the EEA occur, LK Metrology will put in place appropriate provisions to ensure that there are strict rules regarding both the confidentiality and security of your information i.e. restricted access, encryption or password protection. How long will we retain your data for? 

We will retain your data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose in which it was originally processed, while also recognising applicable statutory limitation periods. 

Objections and Complaints  

If you have any objections and/or complaints in relation to how we process your personal data, we ask that you contact us to try to resolve this matter. 

You are also welcome to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in the country in which you reside.

Automated Decisions 

As part of the processing of your personal data, decisions may be made by automated means. This means we may use customer (past/present/prospective) data for internal analysis to achieve quality in business processes, i.e. operational or transactional data, interaction data, customer-profile data and demographic and behavioural data may be used as support for automated decision-making, all aimed to create and maintain good business relationships with all types of contacts.
